QUEEN VISITS THE ISLE OF WIGHT
HRH Queen Elizabeth II visited Cowes, Isle of Wight today on the last leg of her Diamond Jubilee Tour.
The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, arrived at Trinity Landing by a launch boat after sailing in from Gurnard on the super yacht ‘Leander’. Thousands of well-wishers greeted the Royals before the Queen officially unveiled a plaque to commemorate her visit to the town before late visit the newly-opened RNLI lifeboat station.
